Great value for a unassuming true-to-life little film
I've seen this film before and it's one of my faves. Jennifer Aniston unusually plays a down-trodden woman, Justine, who indulges in an extra-marital affair with the young Jake Gyllenhaal to experience some excitement. I love how Jen is so convincing as the put-upon moral adulteress, it's a real slice of the reality of the deep south american life working in a mundane job. One can sympathise with all of her actions as she tries to do the right thing and as such follow her into the unfortunate situations she falls into. As I said I just love the reality of how they portray the affair happening, it's not just a black and white situation, and Justine is exploited by everyone around her in some way. If you like Catcher in the Rye this would be a good film for you, and if you like Zooey Deschanel you'll love it as she's hilarious in this.
