Hole is smaller once the staple closes
3 of 3 found this helpful Ok so I wanted a sturdy secondary lock on my garage. This is sturdy alright. But, after reading the spec that the hasp had a 13.2mm hole for a padlock, I purchased a big jobbie padlock with a 13mm shackle. Wrong move.
It's all very well saying it has a 13.2mm hole, which it does, but in the real world you can't use a padlock with a shackle more than 9mm. I've tried a few...
2 problems. The hasp is bent and when the staple is positioned, you cannot physically fit anything more than a padlock with a 9mm shackle. Also the position of the hinges on the staple restrict the size of padlock you can use.
Other than that it's a very sturdy piece of kit.

Absolute Junk! You'll regret buying!
1 of 1 found this helpful Complete waste of time and money. Donate your money to charity instead and save yourself a headache. Tiny built in battery which unsurprisingly gives terrible battery life of less than 30 minutes. Impossible to understand Chinglish instructions. And why would anyone design a ''hidden'' camera that flashes when detecting motion?

Glitchy but good once sorted
Firstly was not uk model as described by seller. Is a South African model. Although it works. Bought this one as it has a usb socket you can connect your printer to, enabling you to share a standard (not setup for sharing) printer. the usb is slightly temperamental requiring the router to be restarted occasionally, But works most of the time. At first, the router would drop the connection on a daily basis and this really frustrated me. But since I updated the firmware it seems to have stabilized and hasn't dropped in 2 weeks. The signal is much stronger than my free talktalk router, showing full signal in the furthest corner of the house, where the talktalk would struggle to reach that far. All in all it seems like a good un, , once you've rid it of gremlins. If you don't want the hassle, and believe me it was a hassle, buy a different one.
