A good product spoiled by inattention to detail

The lid/cap sits crookedly on the container so I expect that the paint is exposed to the air and won't last as long as it should. The cap always defaults to the misaligned tread and I don't want to force it to the sealed position in case I damage it. I expect it to be a good quality paint but will probably be throwing out most of it when the paint goes off, thus making it a very expensive purchase for me.
