Useful Addition
I purchased this antenna for use with my Tecsun PL-880 radio. I had read other reviews, and was expecting there to be a useful improvement for the MW band compared to the internal antenna. In practice, although there is certainly some improvement, the internal antenna of this particular radio is already fairly good, and so the improvement obtained is, at least at my location, marginal. I next plugged it into the external antenna socket, and again, this did not make a big difference. Equally, when I used it with my Grundig SATTELIT 500 radio, again, the difference was marginal. However, when I used it with my Sony ICF-SW07 and ICF-SW1 short-wave radios, the difference was very noticeable. These small radios only have a small internal ferrite antenna, and with this loop a significant improvement was obtained. Similarly, with both my Icom IC-R20 and AR-8200 receivers, the difference was remarkable. For example, an AM station at 864kHz which was inaudible indoors on the internal antennas was perfect copy when used with the loop antenna. Overall therefore I can recommend this antenna especially for those radios having only a small internal ferrite rod antenna.

This Is A Dreadful Attenuator!
This attenuator is of very poor quality. The 20dB sections are only 18dB. The other sections are only approximately correct. An internal examination reveals that there are no inter-section screens, and thus there is significant cross-coupling when attempting to use high attenuations. The maximum attenuation is supposed to be 82dB but with all the cross-coupling it is only approximately 70dB, and this only at relatively low frequencies. At higher frequencies, above about 20MHz the cross-coupling worsens. This product is rubbish.

Excellent accessory
I wanted an in-line SWR/Power meter that was somewhat more accurate than the instrument I was using. This meter fulfils this need very well. When compared to a known accurate VHF power meter it is well within its stated tolerance and has proven to be most useful. With its backlit scale it is very easy to read in poorly lit situations, as well as being easy to read in sunlight, as when operating portable.
