Game not working

I've been trying to get past around the 5th mission but the game constantly freezes, and sometimes it freezes when I load my game. It gotten to the point where it's unplayable and I would like to return this item.

Need Disc 2

The game by itself is great but you'll need a disc 2 to get the missing cars (which is a lot) and the track.
