Happy Gilmore

A really funny film especially for fans of Adam Sandler. There are moments of pure comic genius and fantastic timing. It is much better than some of Adam Sandlers other films, and although there is still a lot of "slapstick" comedy, there are some touching moments too. Adam plays Happy, a rejected ice hockey player who discovers a talent for golf. His grandmother has had her house reposessed and so Happy decides to win enough money in the golf tournament to buy it back for her. However, in the mean time she goes into a nursing home run by Ben Stiller who is not my favorite actor but in this film he is excellent as the evil nurse. His golfing rival, Shooter McGavin, played wonderfully byChristopher McDonald is not pleased and a war of golf and words ensue. I would say watch this film today, right away, you might like it, you just may.
