Hopeless, flimsy.
I bought this boat hook and it is in pieces already 1 week old, the end handle was split upon delivery but I decided to keep it, anyway that handle (grip) is falling off all the time now when gripped, I'm having trouble twisting the pole to extend the hook with the hook coming off now as well, Gabbed my mooring line today and the telescopic part simply bent and now I can't get the telescopic part back in. Exactly what you don't need on a boat. I'll have to re-cycle it into something else and get a better hook.
This is the first time I've had to write a bad product review in 17 years of shopping online. Sorry.

Always tipping over sideways
1 of 1 found this helpful I am disappointed with this purchase, axel width is not enough and it is always tipping over even with small light loads. the handle needs to be 12 to 18" longer too.
It would not be suitable for 400kg as stated in the description. even with around 80 kg it is not fit to move around.
Basically if I could have viewed/tried it before buying I wouldn't have bought it. I am now deciding whether to modify it or sell as it needs serious beefing up in terms of strength just for regular garden duties.
