Metal base well built !
The best Microphone I have owned, Puts the D-104 to shame,nothing but good audio reports,like all power mikes your settings are critical as each radio has different characteristics,Good reports on sideband also,crisp, clear clean audio,Using the headphone feature allows you to hear true audio that u are putting on the airways,non of the talkback feedback and false sounding audio over the airways,I have found on most radios set your mike gain on radio halfway and use the mike to fine tune,most people do the opposite and overdrive the mike,AS WORKED FLAWLESS for me and once you set it up properly you will want another one of these mikes,they are quality built and you can adjust it so you don't hear the birds chirping in your yard like the d-104 picks up.

Sound Equalizer
Works well as advertised, a headphone jack would be ideal so you can hear your voice and fine tune the settings,plan on adding one on mine. Takes about 1-1/2 weeks to arrive but it is of good quality, have had good reports on my audio, well worth the money if your radio does not have the options.
