TILES WITH LIMITED APPLICATION
NOTE:- A sample of (x5) tiles was purchased to assess suitability to form a decked area in within the garden.
On receiving the pack it was noted the colour of the tiles was more BLUE in the colour spectrum, than GREEN.
Placing the tiles on a grassed area in the form of a square, they were suitable to walk on which would be acceptable as a path, however when putting a garden chair on for seating, the tiles fractured. NOTE:- The chair support was 15mm round tube that was flat along the point of contact with the ground and a formed radius extending to legs.
To conclude, the plastic material was of a hard form which would be susceptible to fracture with load in a small point of contact; typically less than 40mm.. The material thickness though stated as being 10mm, is not consistent across the surface area of the tile. The outer frame with a small pillar at each corner of the inner box grid consisting of (x9) sections would be 10mm, however the webbed pattern within the box sections would be approx 5mm.
