Perfect gift for a trekkie friend
They're detailed, and they look great. The pair were given as a birthday gift, and very well received. Thanks!
DOCTOR WHO MUMMY ROBOT With CANOPIC JAR ( THE PYRAMIDS OF MARS ) - NEW & SEALED
06 Apr, 2016
Very cool
I had one of these, from the 4th Doctor set, and it's great. I also got the two Pyramids of Mars sets, so this fills it all out, with two mummies (servitor robots) and all four canopic jars (shield components).
5L Blue Bike Handlebar Bag Bicycle Front Tube Pocket Riding Shoulder Pack-1 US

Cute, but not up to the task.
I'll give the negative stuff first; then move to the positives. To start, the carry-strap is pointless. If it's going to be used to carry the bag, it should be higher. And adjustable. The mounting hook and loop straps are too long and the binding doesn't grab well - the straps have to be very loose, for the hooks to grab the loops; and that allows the bag to sag forward. The only way I could make it work, was to loop the "handle" over the bar-extender that I have on the stem. The main body of the bag has only one (1) zipper - it goes all the way round, from right to left. There Should be two (2); one from each side, allowing easy opening to reach what you need, without A) exposing everything to the elements, and B) allowing things to bounce it, if you're in motion. That's something that should be an option, while riding: being able to open the bag, while in motion, without losing the contents. The lip of fabric, for the top zipper, should also be higher, and away from the inner liner. I have to lift the front of the bag, to prevent the zipper snagging on the inside fabric. The last thing is the elastics on the top cover: It should be a plastic-panel top, with a pocket, inside, to allow for a map or GPS. Now, the up-sides: Over-all, it seems to be well made; good material. Except for the mounting, it's a decent design: The cover opens AWAY from the rider, allowing access, while in motion - that's Good; and while I'd prefer they open from the rider's side of the bag, the side pockets are a nice design. I don't ride with headphones (I like to hear the approaching traffic), but I do have a Bluetooth speaker, mounted to the bar, and I use an old BlackBerry for the source. The side pockets are a perfect size for the BlackBerry, on one side, and hand sanitizer and a mask, on the other. I've been using it for a couple of weeks, but it doesn't really do what I need. I was planning to return it, but the zipper has been tearing up the inside material, during use, and I don't think it's appropriate to send it back, under those circumstances. I'll contact the manufacturer, to let them know what they could fix, and I'll keep looking for something better. There are 3 questions about the item: 1) Do you reccomend it? Not for My needs. 3) Is it of good quality? Yes, it's well-constructed. 2) Is it a good value? I said Yes, as a simple bag, it's okay. If I could still get a Kirtland bag, I would...
