    Well worth the money. Recommended.
Firstly, let me correct one thing about the way this lens is described. There is NO WAY this lens can be decribed as an "ultra wide" lens. It's no such thing. The diagonal of the Samsung NX200 sensor is 28.3mm. The diagonal of a full frame 35mm frame is 43.3mm. The multiplication factor is almost exactly 1.5 - which makes this the equivalent of a 24mm on 35mm. For 35mm a 35mm focal length is a "slightly wide standard" at most. A 28mm is a "mild wide" and a 24mm is a "serious wide". To be an "Ultra Wide" you really have to be talking 20mm focal length or less on 35mm- which equates to less than 13.5mm on the NX200. So forget "Ultra Wide" - this is a very ordinary, wide angle lens. However, that said, it's a very compact, light and very useful lens that has consistently produced damn good, clear pictures. Well recommended.

    Does the job.
I have a Samsung NX-200. Now this beast is an excellent camera, and is supplied with a little external flash which runs off the camera's internal battery. Two problems with this supplied flash - lack of power and drain on the camera's battery. What you get with one of these external flashes is an extra battery that runs the flash itself. This means you're not forever looking at the camera's own battery indicator and wondering. The second thing you get is a BIT more power. Not a lot - but a bit. The advantages are not massive, but the flash is small and the cost is low ... so why not?

You get ruggedness at the cost of weight and size, but good pictures
I wanted a rugged, lump of a camera that I could shove in a pocket and not "worry about". Something that would take the occasional knock, the occasional rain shower, the occasional bit of general "abuse" without giving up the ghost. That is, to be honest, EXACTLY what I got with this camera. Of course there's always a price to pay for ... well ... just about anything. The price you pay for this rugged toughness is extra weight, size and a limit to the zoom range of the lens. Is this restrictive? Well - that depends on what you want, so you have to decide for YOURSELF how restrictive it is. For me the "price payed" was worth it for the relaxation of knowing I'd have to be a particularly idiotic prat to do something that would leave me without the ability to take a picture.
