great sound leakage and loss of bass

i've put these on ATH-M50. the size and shape match, but the sound leaks out too much and the bass decreases significantly. the two phenomena are very likely related. a difference i noticed between these and some original earpads for audiotechnica and shure is that originals have an extra piece of foam on the fabric part that covers the speaker. these have only a very thin fabric, as can be seen on the picture where they are squeezed by a hand.
