It's plastic so may not be strong enough to withstand harsh treatment.
It's not the simplest thing to replace a broken door handle but with a bit of persistence - and looking at the old parts in place - the job is done, and the washing machine has another lease of life.
How long these plastic parts will last is another question! This is the second time I've had to do the job and it is the second time that the same part has been broken. It's the part that the handle connects to, and operates the catch - which is on a timed release after the wash has finished, so is easy to give the handle a tug too hard!

Great value, maybe slightly flimsy.
The value is amazing. While fitting one of the clips the top cracked while I was pushing it into place. Only finger pressure!

Very cheap hardware let down by flaky software.
For the price this is a great product. I use two of these, controlling hot water and heating, and they give better control than standard methods.
The software is improving steadily but it has a number of issues that let down the excellent hardware; In the UK we have GMT & BST, otherwise known as Daylight Savings. Twice a year I have to reset all the time settings - a major pain in the neck! And all because China, the source of the software, doesn't change their clocks. A recent major re-vamp of the software has led to control buttons not working as they used to. Again a real nuisance.
In the early days the reliability of the connection to their servers was poor - this is now much better, and more improvements are promised.
