Worth every penny you spend on it, definitely better than a 50mm fix
An absolutely great lens. Gives wonderful pics for its price, and because it's 1.8, it's better in terms of letting more light in. Better shots in less than optimal lighting conditions. Very convenient to carry around, but it takes a bit of getting used to in terms of finding the right distance from an object as compared to 50mm fixes, etc.
Sharpness is excellent in the point of focus, and gives a nice bokeh, really beautifully separating the focus from the front and the rear

It was a great buy!
Had to adjust to the new camera settings, but once I got used to it, it has proven that this camera is renowned among the photographers. To really notice the crispness of the images, you gotta have good lighting, although it would perform well under low lighting conditions due to its amazing ISO setting range. Love the camera.
