Brilliant and simple
If you can find one of these in good condition then just buy it. I never got the knack of loading spirals in the dark and usually damaged the film doing so, but this is so simple. OK you have to turn the wheel during deveolping and fixing, but it is no effort and no following complicated agitation times. Uses just 200ml of solution so your expensive chemicals go further too. Just adjust developing times for continuous agitation (about - 15 to 20%).

Brilliantly simple
Works every time to retrieve the film tongue from inside the cassette if you have overwound or have a motorised film advance. Love to know how it works - but it just does ! Just insert the flexible plastic end into the cassette, spin the spool a little until it clicks and then slowly pull it out. It auto-releases to leave the cassette exactly as it was when you loaded the film. No more changing bags and can openers.

KWAIDAN - Masters of Cinema series
Really good edition of amazing Japanese film. Four ghost stories told with real style and visual impact. This is an astonishing transfer in full original aspect ratio of 1:2.35 ("Tohoscope")from a very good negative. Included is a great book which tells the original stories from Lafcadio Hearn's novel. In addition an extra 21 minutes removed from western theatrical release (a fourth story) are included. Don't get any other version !
