definitely lights up dark corners
so bright!!! I wasn't sure when I purchased that it would be sufficient but it lights the entire corner closet! Velcro installation was super easy.

MOST EXCELLENT AS A DOG TRAINING DEVICE FOR COUNTER SURFERS
This is one of the very few motion detectors that serves as a training deterent for the dogs who counter surf. Anything with sqare edges makes it is easy to put one unit on the inside and outside - two units together can go under a plate or platter. I have even put this device in a brown paper bag with bacon Beggin strips and it alerts perfectly. After a few alarms all I had to do was put the unit in front of the temptation and my dogs gave up even trying. I have no idea how well it works as a security measure other than my oreos and butter dish are now safe - Maybe the description should include dog training ??? I am recommending this to my students (I teach dog training classes)
