Late 70's/early 80's cheese at it's best!
Honky Tonk Freeway is an interesting "study" of a small town fighting the proverbial fat cats for an exit off the newly built freeway in Florida. The story is filmed almost like a like a "mockumentary". The film follows different characters in strange but often entertaining situations culminating in the small Florida town of Ticlaw. The cast includes many well known or soon to be well known actors including Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn, Howard Hesseman, Teri Garr, Beau Bridges, Beverly D'Angelo, Geraldine Page, Daniel Stern and Peter Billingsley. Nothing real deep here, but a great two hour time capsule slice of life.

A nice time capsule from the Golden Age of Nickelodeon
This is one of many great original programs Nickelodeon aired in the late 1980's early 1990's. The picture is excellent quality for what it is. It's standard 4:3 ratio picture which was the norm for this era. No real frills or extras but just to have a real copy (not a bootleg or old video cassette tapes) is plenty satisfying. I highly recommend this and the four other seasons available for anyone who grew up with Nickelodeon during it's golden age or for a new generation that only knows Nickelodeon for the garbage their air today.
