With the computer inside a wooden cupboard both the mouse and keyboard work well. It would be better if the battery compartment on the keyboard secured better.

Alternate use

I didn't buy it to fix ladders to a roof rack but to fix ladders to the side of the garage by drilling 2 holes in the side of the garage and tightening the clamps from the inside of the garage.
