Nice little radio.
1 of 1 found this helpful It has a sensitive analog dial that requires good dexterity, but tunes in and holds the signal well. The tuning light goes on and off on AM, but on FM it stays on most of the dial. This could be because I live in a busy area near an airport. The sound is pretty good, not to tinny. I don't think it is stereo with earphones, but in plays in both ears. I think all these little radios should have a sleep timer to save falling asleep with the radio on. It doesn't have that. Its a nice size and the antenna works well.

This radio is just as described.
It is monaural, English instructions, came with a memory chip with 10 American Standard songs on it, with battery, from Anon-Co seller. The voice record function sounds really nice. Strong speaker, 3 watts. I think a Travel 5 volt, 250 ma minimum usb charger is necessary. The scan tuning didn't find many AM stations where I live near an airport. Maybe too much interference. The stations can be input manually OK. The FM scan tuning worked for FM after I extended the antenna. (oops) Earphone seems to be stereo with correct earphones. Manual indicates earphone is stereo. No clock or timer.

Comparison to Tecsun R-233
1 of 1 found this helpful This radio looks similar to the R-233, but there are differences. It is a little bigger in length and depth, so it has a little deeper sound. It sits horizontal on a table and has squared off edges, while the R-233 with rounded corners and edges is vertical and fits nice in your hand. The 2 radios have different frequency numbers on the AM and FM scale. Electrically, they are very similar. I like the analogue features, as electronic tuners sometimes make my ears ring. The antenna on the R-209 is a larger diameter. These are both nice radios. If you live in a busy area you can lower the antenna for nearby strong stations. Once you tune in a station it usually comes in good. JWM
