Best fitting kit I've ever built
I've been out of modeling for a long time so I have no basis of comparison of this kit versus any other recent kit. But I am thoroughly impressed by the fit and finish of this kit. I built a lot of kits many years ago and none of them had the near-perfect fit this one does. Everything lines up and drops into place, almost puzzle-like. The only area I had a problem fitting were the starboard bomb bay doors. It took a bit of filing, scraping and snipping to get perfect. In my experience one tough joint in an entire kit is as close to perfection as it gets.
Kit has lots of nice details, like the stamped brass turbine blades and optional additional parts for building systems in different states (fuel bay open/closed, front gear up/down). The trees themselves are virtually flawless with no flashing or other troublesome molding artifacts. Some of the attachment points are really thick so use care when removing parts to avoid tearing out some of the part material.
All-in-all I highly recommend this kit and I'll be trying other Meng kits in the future. Nice work!
