it worked
Didn't get as far as my drain rods but got the water pressure closer to the blockage and sorted it. Didn't feed itself like I hoped it would, so i had to get my hand right down into the drain to guide it. luckily the water level had dropped far enough for me to do this otherwise it would have been a messy job.
