My 5140
These phones are excellent if you just need one for making calls, ie not web surfing, emailing or listening to music, but it does have some quirky built-in extras that have come in very useful. There is a digital compass which has been great for someone with my poor sense of direction; a small LED torch, great for finding your way to your car in a strange car park; a one-touch voice recorder, saves having to write down notes; a sound meter (!). Not sure why they put that in but even that came in useful once when I was staying in a holiday flat that was incredibly noisy and I took a video to demonstrate to the owners exactly how high the sound levels were. The handset's toughness is legendary. Mine gets dropped all the time but rarely goes wrong, and it has a 2 piece rubberised outer case that can be replaced very quickly and cheaply when it gets damaged. I bought my first 5140 nearly 4 years ago and am currently on my 3rd handset altho, to be fair, I lost the 2nd one. I like it so much that I have a spare ready for when this one eventually gives up the ghost.
