Quality made photographer's friend!
Great bit of kit! I use it so I can shoot one-handed and yet still keep from getting the "shakes"! Only downside is the head doesn't rotate to take portrait shots.

Nothing like the films! Highly recommended!
Anybody who has watched either the Charlton Heston(The Omega Man) or Will Smith's version(Iam Legend) will think they know the story of this, the source for these films. However think again! The basic plot is the same(last man alive etc) but there are subtle differences between the book and the cinema efforts. For instance the films have played down the fact that in the book the virus, which wiped out mankind, has left people as vampires! The full can't go out in the dark, scared of crosses, out and out vamps! Not the cgi weird creatures of Smith's film nor the more zombie like efforts of the Heston film. In both films the "hero"? Is portrayed as being a scientist responsible for the outbreak and desperately trying to find a cure and rebuild the world in the same flawed way. The book however shows him to be just an average joe who just happens to escape the carnage by chance and trying to survive.
Richard Matheson is a remarkable writer who has had many films and tv shows made from his writings. Legend of Hell House, Terror at 20,000 Feet, Stir of Echos, Duel(Speilberg's first film), to name a few. I heartily recommend this, and any other RM book!
