The Grim Darkness of Games-Workshop
The 9th Edition supplemental Codex: Dark Angels is like most others of its kind in this current edition. Lacking in terms of lore content and following the modern trend GW has been following of selling you a bigger, more expensive book that you may not really want (Codex: Space Marines) but must have. Hence it being a supplement, not a Codex in and of itself, as was the case for the 3rd and 4th edition books (which were a lot more information dense). The same holds true for the Blood Angels book, which I also own, and pales in comparison to the 5th edition Codex when I compare them side-by-side.
Still, I recommend it if only because you have no other option if you want to play Dark Angels properly, and it's hardback so at least it wont get damaged edges the same way the old paperback books did. I guess. If you want to learn about the Dark Angels, though, you'd be better off finding a PDF scan of the old books online.
