Leica replacement
We lost one of our Leica batteries while travelling. This works perfectly well in our old D-Lux 4 Leica, and was far less expensive (the Leica battery was listed at ninetynine US).

Couldn't find it locally, and this was cheaper
We couldn't find this locally, possibly because the Big Orange Box was late setting up the display. I hate driving around looking for one item, so I was willing to pay a little more for convenience. We paid less. Win-win!

Better than the picture ...
The picture shows the photocell and outlet on the same side ... they are not. They are back to back, which is what I wanted in the first place. And the “ladder rest” is all black, with no ersatz brass end caps. Much nicer looking, IMO.
