About us

TC’s Fine Minerals and Collectibles is owned and operated by Thomas Campbell with assistance from his wife Melissa Campbell. Tom is a professional geologist and applied mineralogist who has worked in a variety of commodities from gold to gem- and rare element-bearing pegmatites. He has performed considerable research on various ore deposits, especially the Homestake Gold Mine, Hemlo Gold Camp and various pegmatites in Brazil and in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications including the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Minerals (1990) and USGS Bulletin 1857-J on the Homestake gold deposit. Tom has also discovered three minerals new to science: Tiptopite, Fransoletite, and Pahasapaite, and has assisted in the characterization of several others new species. He has a passion for minerals and mineralogy and enjoys sharing that passion with other collectors.
