Technics 1200 / 1210 Parts Tonearm Rest Tone Arm Rest OEM # SFPRT17201K1
    16 Jun, 2020
FANTASTIC replacement part for Technics 1200 /1210 easy repair & great quality!!!
I had accidentally broken the tone arm rest on one of my black technics 1200 turntables when I was moving things around in my studio. I was thinking it was going to be an expensive, hard to find part & expensive repair and I didnโ€™t want to try and glue the broken part. Luckily the original Panasonic part was available and very affordable! To replace the part you need to unscrew / loosen a small Phillipโ€™s head screw underneath. It helps to raise the rubber tone arm dial to the highest setting to allow more room to access hidden screw. You will need a small Phillips drill bit and pliers or a small angled Phillipโ€™s screwdriver. You have about an inch clearance so I used a Phillipโ€™s drill bit to hold the screw in place underneath and unscrewed the broken arm rest with my other hand using my fingers. Then I simply hand screwed the new OE arm rest part while keeping the screw underneath in place. There are no instructions Included with part BUT there are instructional videos on YouTube. The whole repair only took a few minutes. No need to take your turntable to the repair shop!
