Fantastic DVD!
3 of 3 found this helpful "The Hit" is a superb film and this DVD does it justice. The transfer is second to none and the packaging and supplements help to bring new appreciation to an already appreciated work. Highly recommend this to all fans of this film.

One of the All-Time Great Film-Noirs presented as only Criterion knows how.
1 of 1 found this helpful The Criterion Collection's Blu-ray release of Carol Reed's 'The Third Man' is THE definitive release of this classic noir. Their A/V presentation blows any other version's out of the water. And their plentiful supplements immerse the viewer into the experience that is 'The Third Man' in a manner that is both insanely informational and extremely entertaining.
But more than the edition, you should buy this for the film; Karas' memorable zither, Reed's gorgeous direction, Welles' wonderful appearance and the stunning photography that brings Vienna to the forefront of the film, making it as much a star as the cast themselves.
