High in flavanol so extra healthy!
Excellent high-flavanol cacao. Flavanol is the healthy component in cacao / cocao / chocolate. It is easily destroyed by heat and processing which is why most chocolate is virtually devoid of it. Plus the variety of cacao grown affects the amount of flavanol in the raw cacao. This brand uses high-flavanol cacao and then processes it cold to preserve the maximum amount. Not the cheapest (though this seller has a very good price for it) but worth paying a bit more to get the extra flavanol. But remember not to overheat it before eating it, or the flavanol will be lost.
