Power Supply overheated and failed.
I bought this item to power a small 12vdc cool box with a 46watt / 4amp load. This power supply claims to be rated at 5amps or 60watts so my appliance was with in its capabilities. After a few hours of operation a bang came from the power supply and a strong smell of burning. The unit also leaked some sort of fluid that smelt bad. The unit was extremely hot, it could have caused a fire if it had been unattended.
I am sure it would have been fine with a very small load but it is not safe to use in the manor that I did.
There should be a safety thermal cut out in the unit to prevent overheating

Poor Insulation and noisy
This cool box works absolutely as it should, I have been able to chill it down as low as 2c with it empty. The insulation in the enclosure is very poor, as soon as power is disconnected the internal temperature rises very quickly. Also the outside case is cold to touch while the unit is running demonstrating just little insulation is in the casing. The fan is also quite noisy.
I regret paying £50 this.
