Saved over $500!! Thank you!
Furnace control board came in perfect working condition. Tips for DIYers:
1) We paid a local HVAC company $89 for a diagnostic workup. They determined the control board was bad and wanted $850 to repair it. 2) we purchased this board for about $200, unplugged the old one and plugged in this one in about 15 minutes. 3) take a photo of the control board and connections before unplugging for your reference. 4) once you install the control board, call the furnace to heat and although you may hear it click on, it may not turn on instantly. There seems to be a lengthy reset period - we kept turning the unit off and on, when we finally got frustrated (thought we had a different problem,) walked away and left the furnace in the on/heat position, it miraculously rebooted (hallelujah!) and began to heat correctly about 3 hours later. 5) Saved over $500!! Thank you!
