A real charmer
Really charming set, evoking the classic Victorian Christmas. Plenty of play value with a good selection of figures and, of course, the light brick. Looks great sat next to the real Christmas tree.

Best full-colour overview around
A useful book for anyone interested in modelling the armies of Henry VIII, this slim Osprey volume gives an excellent overview of the period.
There are minor clothing details in the colour plates that deviate, bizarrely, from known sources cited elsewhere in the book (namely a series of watercolours in the British Library), but then it's always worth comparing primary sources for yourself, before sitting down to paint.
As an affordable 'starter for 10' it can't be beaten.

Depth of colour
Excellent glass tiles, which have a weight and solidity that attract the eye.
