Couldn't switch off the subtitles

The DVD proceeds straight into the movie without any menu. Only watched the first few minutes when I found it was impossible to switch off the subtitles. Extremely annoyed and gave the DVD to the local charity shop. Someone else might not mind the subtitles but they did my head in!!!!

First rate historical drama

A well acted and historically accurate account of the plot to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sophie Duchess of Hohenberg. The settings are authentic but the dubbed English voices are sometimes a little indistinct. Rather a pity that the last words of the Duchess to her husband before she died, "For Heaven's sake! What happened to you," were not included. Similarly, the Archduke's touching last words to his wife, "Sophie dear! Sophie dear! Don't die! Stay alive for our children," were eliminated. Apart from this, a very well presented account of the event that led to the outbreak of the First World War and the deaths of some 20 million people.

A a beautiful figurine of exceptiponal quality.

I bought this figurine for my granddaughter who has the same name. The quality is exceptional and exceeded my expectations. It has a high glaze and the pose makes a very elegant statement. Although made in China the figurine could stand without shame beside the best Royal Doulton or Coalport figures of this style.
