6 of 6 found this helpful There are a few of the "haute couture" perfumes that to me represent the top masterpieces ever created in the world of perfumes: Givenchy III de Givenchy, Chanel No.5 by Chanel, Farouche by Nina Ricci, Fidji de Soir by Guy Laroche, Femme by Marcel Rochas, Eau d'Hermes and Grande Eau d'Hermes by Hermes, Eau du Soir by Sisley, Eau Sauvage (masculin scent)and Diorissimo by Christian Dior, Quadrille by Balenciaga and Vol de Nuit by Guerlain. Not necessarily in this order. Femme de Rochas is an old time favorite, probably the first perfume I have ever discovered as a little girl. It was my aunt Troty's favorite perfume. She died in 1981 and I was still too young then to wear Femme in her memory. After 30 I decided that I can try and started wearing it on ocasions and made Femme de Rochas my signature fragrance for many years.
Femme was created by Edmond Roudnitska in 1944 for Marcel Rochas and I found this information in an article written by Therese Roudnitska, the master parfumeur's wife. If I would have to choose a name for this perfume, I would have only added one word to it...FATALE! Femme is a dangerously sensual, feminine and seductive perfume. The one I like best is the eau de parfum concentration. The composition of this complex perfume is based on the harmony of aldehides, fruit, wood and musk notes. Dryness of chypre notes is softened by the purple plum. The richness of tropical fruits is followed by rich scent of sandal. The scent has been reformulated from its original form, reconstructed I should say, in 1989. More peach was added to the already existing sweet and silky plum. Base notes are: bergamot, peach, pear, rose, an immortal, jasmine, ylang-ylang, grey amber, musk, oaken moss and sandal. The dry-down is a lasting multi-faceted scent that leaves you for hours to endulge the wonderful feminine mesmerizing scent. This perfume is for the woman that feels mature enough to be comfortable expressing her sensuality wearing this perfume. Femme is a captivating perfume, sexy and mysterios, undeniable erotic and seductive, without being dirty, carnal or animalic. The elegant glass bottle has the curves of a nice woman body. Femme is not the everyday perfume for every woman on the planet and not for every skin, you have to try it and see what it is about it that you may fall in love with or simply hate it! I know I did fall in love with it about 50 years ago and still wear it with a lot of joy even today!
A few years ago I was reading an article about Parfum de Therese by Frederic Malle and I discovered that the perfume has been created in 1960 by Edmond Roudnitska for his wife, Therese. It was not made for the public, it was exclusively composted for his wife...and that to me was really impressive. After Edmond Roudnitska's death ( he lived between 1905 and 1996), Frederic Malle launched Parfum de Therese on the market in 2000. I then started reading more about Edmond Roudnitska, the great creator of perfumes. This is how I discovered that many of my top absolute masterpieces in the haute couture perfume creations are actually the work of the genius in parfumerie Edmond Roudnitska: Eau d'Hermes, Grande Eau d'Hermes, Eau Sauvage, Diorissimo and Femme. I recommend you try Femme de Rochas in a mini size bottle first, most of the minis are in eau de parfum concentration. It pays to discover this terrific feminine, seductive, elegant and sexy perfume, you never know... maybe it will be THE ONE for YOU!

THE cream that delivers above & beyond your highest expectations every

I realized every time, even after 10-12 hours after I applied it, my skin was feeling smoother, silkier and firmer to touch. After about five or six trials I decided to bite the bullet and buy it, 100 ml retails for $710(+taxes). Exorbitant price but the results are fantastic! It is an up-scale moisturizing cream from one of the most famous cosmetic companies in the world, renowned for its elegant and high-class cosmetic line. The only back-draw is the price! But you get the results you expect and they are worth every penny you have ever spent! Your face will look more radiant, your skin will feel smoother, silkier, toned and much firmer, it is a whole new look and a great feeling after only a few days from starting using it. I have tried many other creams,I am still using products by La Mer and Sisley , but Skin Caviar Luxe Face Cream by La Prairie is my absolute favorite. I even found a way not having to spend a fortune every time...I get the 5 ml samples and refill my original La Prairie 100 ml jar and enjoy it every day without worries, not feeling guilty for indulging this luxury cream twice a day...or even 3-4 times a day in winter months when our skin gets dry faster, it is such a wonderful feeling to let it work its miracles on your face and watch the improvement happen almost instantly. A GREAT product that makes you feel better about yourself in every possible way!
