Excellent book
Very interesting and informative book covering the area where my family came from. The only disappointment is that there is no mention of 19 March 1941 where there was a bomb blast which killed my grandfather at the White Bear pub in Long Walk (linking Abbey Street and Tower Bridge Road) on my father’s birthday. My grandmother was injured as a result and saved my father from injury. They lived at Fendall Street at that time.
