Surprised and Enthralled
1 of 1 found this helpful Well what can I say about this piece that Mr. Tony Banks has written. Well to say that I was not totally convinced that he could write something for an Orchestra is an understatement on my part. What a wonderful piece of musical masterpiece it transports you to a place of escapism that is not often gained in listening to some music. Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised at this piece and be enthralled it is a complete sidestep from the usual music that has come from Tony Banks. Don't take my word for it, listen to it and hear for yourself. Also I would like to add if you enjoy Genesis music this is nothing like Genesis this is a complete sidestep and I hope that Tony will continue in writing pieces like Seven.

Under Rated
This Album was released back in the 70's following the Band on the Run album which is an excellant album on its own. However I feel that Venus and Mars lives up to the Wings standard with all the tracks delivering that Wings feel of a good song. My favourite track of this album has to be Listen to what the Mans says. Well I won't analyse any of the tracks of this album as there really no need to do so each track has their own greatness. Over time though this album in my opinion has been very under rated and should be recognized for it value and a fantastic addition to any album collection and if you are a Paul McCartney fan you should have it in your collection. Unlike many other albums you may listen to, Venus and Mars can delivery the quality you expect from a good album finding something new within the songs my only dislike of this album is the track Crossroads (yes the TV soap of the 70's) Why is it there I ask?
