Great value great product
Bought this as a temporary substitute for the Thorn Expedition rack on my Thorn Nomad. It fitted fine as a straight replacement with minimal modifications apart from careful slight bending of the mounting bars to ensure there was no stress on the bars when tightening the bolts on the seat stay bosses and drilling out the M5 holes in the bars to accommodate M6 screw bolts for the seat stay mounting bosses. The Nomad has an unusually long wheelbase but the standard length aluminium mounting bars, as supplied with the rack, were just long enough to attach the rack to the seat stay bosses. I'd bought the longer bars as well from another supplier just in case but they were not needed so will be returned. Surprisingly, the price of the rack from the German company at £49.40 (inclusive of postage) easily beat all UK retailers I could find and the rack arrived remarkably quickly(As if posted in the UK!) packaged in a proper eBay box. So just because you're buying from another EU country doesn't necessarily mean you should be worried about delivery and/ quality of product. And of course coming from an EU country there were no adfitional customs tariffs. I wonder how that would last under BREXIT!!
