A hit with the birds
I have bought 5 of these and put them up on North facing walls in October, away from the prevailing wind and rain and most of the sun. I mounted one at parents and gave one to a friend; since then 3 possibly 4 are being nested in for sure by Blue Tit birds and the other two are definitely being roosted in at least in by other birds. I have had Great Tit birds check them out too and they will fit sparrows. These boxes are not only attractive to the eye and obviously to birds as well but the ample thickness of the box makes them very good insulation against the cold and the heat, excellent and safe for raising temperature sensitive tiny chicks in. My two gripes would be that as one reviewer has already mentioned, 1) the mounting baton would be better extended beyond the base of the box to give a firm and extra safe hold, I got over this minor problem by putting a blob of silicone at the back of the base of the baton before attaching it in position, 2) the lid, arrived already painted with wildlife friendly paint, but is starting to show signs of wear, so I've painted it with a brown shed paint to make it last for many years to come for my feathered friends and their families. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a well insulated bird box which, aside from very minor gripes is attractive to birds and pleasing to look at.

Sets fastish and waterproof within a couple of hours
Great for grafting many small scions but don't use if rain is imminent within an hour or two because this will remain wet to the touch if it gets wet before it really sets hard. Having said that, it does set within about half an hour and is hard to the touch by then. The staying power of this, once set is great and it gives a tiny bit of flexibility too, but not much, so keep an eye on it over the year and top it up if necc, to stop the rain getting in. I have used plumbers tape and strips of plastic bags under this to give a really good solid union. I have used nothing else to seal my grafts which weathers up so well and highly recc. it
