Hammock Strings Are NOT Safe
2 of 2 found this helpful After I laid in the hammock for the first time from building it, immediately the strings on one end just unraveled, and came apart -- and Im a 110lbs female. If I waited any longer in the hammock I would have been on the floor as the strings were coming undone in front of me. The actual hammock strings are interlinked together on each end where they apparently end with JUST a man-made knot. The knot came undone and that was it. All the strings were undone. In short, the strings are connected by a man made knot and the knot is what carries your weight on each end. that seems like a problem to me, which was with my first sitting, but what do I know? We just opened up the hammock and it broke asap. I now tied a new knot. Apparently the knots are going to hold us... ?
