Powered directly off PSU and works well
1 of 1 found this helpful This is powered off the power supply directly via a plug and includes some converters (molex to SATA and such). I think this addon card is a must for anyone using power hungry USB devices like joysticks, racing wheels or VR headsets + associated sensors. Installation is trivial and the device is small enough that even mounting it right in front of a GTX 1080 TI's fan (dual fan card) isn't a problem. It isn't big enough to restrict airflow to the GPU.
