The Best Solution
1 of 1 found this helpful I flashed the chip with tasmota, but that is almost unrelated to this review.
This switch solves a problem that apparently no other company can figure out: integrating a smart switch with existing 3way light switches.
3 way light switches work by using traveller wires connected to both poles of a switch, so either up or down can be on, depending on the orientation of the other switches. This is mimicked in a relay by also using both poles, the Normally Open (NO) and normally closed (NC) all the switch has to do is flip between these while they're connected to the traveller wires and it will integrate perfectly.
Apparently no other company has figured out this very simple concept because the C by GE switches support 3-way only if you replace ALL of the switches with smart switches and then enable it as some feature. This means the the 3way will not work with existing switches and drives up the cost. They aren't cheap.
This 2 pack correctly imitates a 3 way switch and will allow you to convert 2 circuits to smart control.
I highly recommend this switch over any of the other offerings.
Also, flash tasmota so you have local MQTT control vs having your light switches contact the internet.
