Camera dash mount, in-car holder, camera cradle - German made

A keenly priced item of decent quality

I've bought a couple of similar items, both with windscreen suction mounts, but they gave problems with visibility. This one sits on the dash, screwed to a heavy mount. I use a Panasonic compact TZ which is a little heavier than the norm and the mount copes without problems most of the time. Brake hard and the universal ball joint just above the base can move a bit. That's the only thing that stopped a 5-star rating. The quality is good, very good for the price. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Well made but not easy to fit to curved screens

The item's nice and strong with double insulating so just the thing, apart, that is, from trying to fit it to a curved screen. I eventually managed it after a fashion, although I exhausted my range of expletives. The deflecting strip at the top was buckled, despite me using boiling water on it before putting it on, and it ended up looking a bit amateurish. It is excellent, and top value, for straight screens or those with a shallow curve.

If you only want one camera . . .

. . . then this is it. I used to edit and write for a magazine and images were sufficient for A3. It is lighter to carry that a single lens reflex and lenses yet can produce excellent quality work. 12mp is ample for most needs. I've since sold mine and replaced it with a Panasonic compact and a G7 and sometimes, after a long day taking photographs and video, I think back to my FZ150 days with some nostalgia. Carrying the FZ150 for hours was no problem. It is a little heavier, and bulkier, than a compact. It doesn't take 4k video, and I need that now, so I passed it on to a family member who loves it. An excellent camera. If it suits your needs, you will not be disappointed.
