The cat killed it
My cat killed this toy in less than five minutes, ripping off its' tail and pulling the spring out of shape.

More absorbent then pellets.
First the disadvantage: It gets everywhere, but it is easy to vacuum up.
On the plus side: it is very absorbent and light weight, it also goes a long way.
