Mac picture quality for a PC - great for photos and gaming
I have one of these monitors on another computer already and love the picture quality. It is second to none. The matt screen is gentle on the eye, but the colours are very life like and clear.
Originally priced in the £100's of pounds, the price you can get these at now is very good.
Do make sure you have the right graphics card port (dvi) and make sure with the seller that it has the triple lead out of the monitor (essential for a pc) and comes with a power lead, as these are pricey seperately.
The weak points on this monitor are the back leg (best to have that removed and wrapped separately, easy to put back on when it arrives) and dead pixels. Ask for all details as these monitors are expensive to return after.

Fantastic, but watch for problems with non working models
My two sisters have Kenwood Chefs, so I decided to take the plunge after I'd decluttered my kitchen to make space for it. You DO need to keep this on the kitchen counter, or it will just become an unused waste of cupboard space.
I already have a Magimix which I love, but it doesn't do a good job of cake making. The Chef makes an excellent job with this.
The model I got was an old one, but it worked straight out of the parcel. There was a burning smell from the motor which worried me for a while, but I was advised it was just flour from the previous owner and it did fade quite quickly.
The things to watch out for are : Feet - The motor gets hot in use and 5 feet in good order are needed. (I had to replace mine, get the right sort, the old pins are VERY dificult to remove, but not immpossible) Speed Dial - This MUST alter the speed as you move the dial round. If it only does one speed you need to get the machine VERY cheaply as it will need a full service. Burning smell - If it doesn't fade quickly after you've fitted new feet, you will need to get it serviced.
All parts are still available even for the really old Kenwoods.
I was really lucky to get a lot of attachments from freegle (do a search) from someone down the road to me (were his mum's, but she had died & he didn't cook)

Best Item in the Suitcase
I love this e reader. The backlight gives me the choice of reading at night without disturbing my partner and it's really light, so reading isn't a struggle with aching wrists! I have a Kobo tablet too, but the weight difference and the short battery life is very noticeable. A big factor if you need to use a reader where there are fewer opportunities to recharge.
The Glo only needs charging weekly at the most. I've been known to get a month out of it, even using it every day.
Because it's open source software, you can customise what you get, so no adverts for me, or reminders over what books I "might" like, an annoying feature with the tablet.
Before a holiday or trip, I visit my Library online and borrow the 5 books I'm allowed, then I'm sorted for the next 3 weeks.
