Good quality galvanised pole which is actually a pipe, fairly easy to drill if you need to fix a cleat, item is heavy so expensive, will properly last forever, I used a stainless steel /repair exhaust tube 52mm or 54mm concreted in the ground as a sleeve, the 52mm tube can be used to extend the pole.
