All round it feels like a wise investment.
i take the approach of buying the best I can almost afford and hope to keep the product for a lifetime. It has tackled a glass roof (quite sloshy, but no bad thing as glass may otherwise have gotten scratched) and my kitchen floor quickly and efficiently.
I have bought a variety of other attachments (not cheap - but it's the old adage...) which I think will be useful over time (such as the clothes steamer attachment - I'm an iron-dodger!).
While some kind of water level indicator might feel reassuring it's really not necessary. You can reuse a litre plastic bottle & keep it with you to top up or refill when the light goes red.
