The best methond I have come across.
For anyone who wants to begin learning Latin I recommend Wildings's Course. There are three books. I am more advanced and I have book 3 and book 2. I decided to get book 1 to consolidate the basics. For learning Latin one needs a systematic approach and I wish I had started with Wilding a long time ago; looking back at some difficulties I've had learning Latin many of the difficulties would not have occured if I had had Wilding in the first place. Specifically he introduces particles of speech in the many passages for reading. He simplifies the Latin of course and I like the way he gets you familiar with things such as "dum" while; nonne? expects answer "yes" and "num" expects answer "no." Some methods drill in verb-tables and nouns on their own whereas Wilding introduces the paradigms etc with elements of prose. One must have a structure to the learning of Latin and Wildings is the best- and least dreary-- I have found.
