Effective but more expensive than they used to be
Cheapest of these magnets I could find, but a lot of money for what it is. Fits well, so does the job.

Portugal - not just the Algarve.
We bought this prior to a week in Portugal. This is the 2007 edition so a little out of date on prices, but came into its own by identifying the most interesting and moderately priced hotels wherever we stopped. In Guarda, Evora, and Cascais we stayed in remarkable ancient buildings for around 50 euros for a double room and breakfast. We were touring and used the guide to identify where to stop for the night, places to visit, and made extensive use of the street maps of Porto and Lisbon. Excellent as I would expect of the Rough Guide series, but as I grow older I would appreciate slightly larger street maps.
Mary Wondrausch on Slipware: A Potter's Approach (Ceramics Handbooks)-ExLibrary

Comprehensive and technical
This book outlines the history of British and European slipware, and gives a lot of detail about how Mary Wondrausch established her pottery and developed her practice. I would have liked more historical examples and less of Mary's work but I did enjoy Mary's style and honesty.
