Use distilled water
1 of 1 found this helpful For best results, use distilled water. I did a few side by side comparisons between brita filtered tap water, dechlorinated filtered tap water, and pure distilled water. All three had hatches, but the tap water took far longer and with lower hatch rates. The distilled water hatched within three days and there were far more daphnia than the other attempts. Overall though, patience and following the included directions will get you exactly what is advertised.
