not as I remember using them previously
because...other can openers always fail as well...
The tin opener blade is blunt ;the tin opener point is blunt ; The grade of 'steel' used is too malleable.

a fair assessment.
The casing had lost its hinges but held when pressed closed , the CD played quite well apart from track 17 which proved unplayable , checking the play surface there was a distinctive mark ' on the surface at this point 'i.e. track 17.
